Welcome to Episode One of Wanna Bet. Wanna Bet is about two perpetual college students, Josh and Nick. Nick is the smarter of the two. That doesn’t mean he’s smart. It just means he is smart enough to know he is an idiot. Josh doesn’t have that problem.

Here’s what happened in case you are like Josh and Nick, and are easily distracted by shiny objects. Josh and Nick are long term students at Maricopa State University. Nicks Dad is the Bernie Maddoff of the West, and is now on a long “vacation” courtesy of the US government. He will be on vacation for fifteen to life. Josh in his never ending quest for “hot monkey love” had his pocket picked by a hooker. But let’s be honest. Who hasn’t had their pocket picked by a hooker? If you haven’t, then you really haven’t lived.

They have no money and in today’s world no prospects. Hell, in any world they have no prospects. They probably couldn’t sell their bodies to science. Even Weird Science, which wasn’t a half bad comedy film from the eighties. That has nothing to do with our story, but I have ADD. If you have a problem with that, stop reading this and go watch rhino’s have sex on YouTube.

So, no money, and no prospects. They decide to make a bet with a low level mob guy named Enzo. All you need to know about Enzo is on his MyStudio.net dating profile. “He likes long walks on the beach, soft rock, and breaking peoples legs just to hear the sound of the bones snapping.” Ladies? He also has a haircut that makes small children cry and old ladies recharge their vibrators. 

Josh and Nick tell Enzo they want to bet three hundred large. They think that means three hundred bucks. It doesn’t. You know that, right, right? If not call me, I want to talk business with you. Now they owe “Uncle Tony” three hundred thousand dollars. Uncle Tony is a viscous mob weirdo, who never takes off his sunglasses. Some he was born with them on. That hurt his mother. Hurt her bad.
